Roland Neuwirth

Roland Neuwirth is a true representative of characteristic Vienna. He is the most popular player of Viennese Schrammel Music. However, Neuwirth and his group - (two violines, one "Kontragitarre", "Knöpferl" Harmonica - a special kind of accordeon - one vocal) consistently reinvent the genre, never getting stuck in tradition. If need be, they integrate aspects of  Blues, Funk, Jazz or Rock´n Roll - all accompanied with lyrics in typical Viennese  dialect..
