Why does my string surface feel rough?
If the string surface becomes rough, it’s often difficult for the finger to slide easily. This can have two reasons:
- Sweat can corrode the string surface and make it rough.
- The friction of the vibrating string on the fingerboard (by pressing and vibrating or by vibrato) can also make the string rough.
