What can I do if a string breaks?

If the string breaks in the playing zone, then you should change it immediately.
If the string breaks in the area of the bridge or tailpiece, the groove is probably too tight or deep. Get your luthier to adjust the groove. TIP: Lots of graphite in the grooves reduces the friction.
